Anyone Else Hoping the Fair Exclusive Will Be a G4 Pony?

Yesssssssssssssss! I hadn't thought of that! I was thinking 'Well a G4 Fair pony would be cool, but they're awfully small...', sometimes my brain doesn't put together incredibly obvious things all too well.

But, uhm, from what I've seen in previous Fair and Con ponies, the G3s have a shape that really caters to interesting designs. I can't say they couldn't make G4s look just as interesting, 'cause I haven't seen any, and I'd like to, but the G3s definitely work as exclusives.

As much as I love G4, I must admit that I prefer G3 for collectibles. And I feel as though the G4s are a little too small to get a really eye catching pattern attached.

I love the G4 ponies, but it better be a fashion size if they do that.  I sort of hope they keep it G3

I'd like to see it remain G3. I like G4, don't get me wrong, but I think it's awesome to still have G3 alive in that way, because I really loved G3 and I often miss it.

I already feel like the Comic Con pony will probably be G4 this year or maybe next. It would actually kind of make sense, since G4 is so popular. Though even there I would love to see G3 stay alive!

Yeah, i would not be surprised if they decide to make Pony or some character like that for Comic Con.
That's why i hope the fair pony will at least be an art pony.

If they do release a G4 as a fair pony, I'm echoing the majority here in that she should be Fashion Style-sized and an art pony. I don't know how badly I would want a character from the show, unless it was special like the Fair Pinkie Pie.

Even then, it's tough to picture a G4 as an art pony. The G3 clone pose looks so streamlined.

A G4 would be adorable, but me and my wallet are hoping they stick with G3s.

G3s have always been the art pony so far, and their bodies are better-shaped as a canvas.

I agree that the G4s are too small for the price tag already - making them $50-80 because of being a convention exclusive is really pushing it.  However... it IS the current new show and the fans are rather eager to purchase anything FIM, so it would not faze me in the least to see Hasbro give it a try.  I definitely see it either as a total success or a total failure...  maybe they would release a combo pack of ponies or something to make it extra special - or white Celestias!  Those are already limited runs... they know collectors are dying to buy properly depicted character toys...  THAT would be a great idea.

I agree. If the Fair pony is to be an exclusive AND G4, one would at least hope that it would be special, like a obscure character or show-accurate character, either in the fashion line or multiple singles.

That said, I think there is something magical about the G3 line. It seems to bridge the G1 line well and it has an aesthetic that just . . . works.
