If you had any friends or relatives you used to play with, it could have easily come from one them. I have several pony brushes for ponies I never had. My cousins had them however, so when we played our brushes must have gotten mixed up. It's even possible we traded for some reason and I just don't remember. Even if you weren't playing ponies together, accessories often get mixed and used for other toys too.

This is so true....plus there are lots of other toy lines which came with very similar items so its possible its not even MLP...sometimes you are just never going to get to the bottom of - the mystery is the fun!

But really, that sort of sparked a memory for me too. I wasn't born until 1989- AFTER the Show Stable (and a pretty good chunk of G1) had come out. It reminds me of a blanket that came with this Barbie. Since this pic is MIB, you can kind of see the blanket... kind of, but not very well.

It resembles that, but that one is too pink. I can't look for it now, because I'm ill, but I'll try and look for it.
