I just finished :muffin: Pony in Mailbox a few minutes ago.

This is a commission I am working on of :muffin: Pony in mailbox. The flag can be raised or lowered. This turned out to be a more difficult sculpture than I thought. It is hard making a head, legs, tail and rear end but NO BODY. It doesn't feel natural when you are making it because your hands just normally want to form the shape that should come next to the leg, not a leg that ends in a flat edge at the shoulder. I don't know how to explain it.

Oh man, this looks so cool!

The only word of advice I could possibly give on sculpting is that, if you're containing a body in something, to build the body and then build the something around it. Then again, the only book on sculpting I've ever looked at described making a female human figure by sculpting the bones, then the muscles and organs, then the skin, in complex layers, so it might not be the best way for everybody to do things...
