Musing & Pondering: What would you do with a huge collection?

if you go with the cafe idea this store might give you some ideas.  It's a japanese store that sells used 80s girly everything.  They have mlps and anything cute and 80s and early 90s and inspired by those eras.  Unfortunately most of thier pictures are of the clothing but if you look at the backgrounds it may be helpful.  they have alot of ikeaish box shelves painted pastel colors and other vintage shelving and storage unit things all in pastels.

That little store is cute hlb.    We have many themed diners in our area, and I've often thought about opening up an 80's themed ice cream parlour- the cafe is a splendid idea.  For example, some of the northern Culvers places have fun styles to them.  The one in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin has train cars all around the place.  In Gurnee, there is a darling McDonalds that is full of Rock N' Roll statues, icons and all sorts. Cracker Barrels have antiques too.  Can you picture dining in booths surrounded by Ponies, Care bears, MotU, Transformers, GiJoe, Monchichi and more? I think it'd make for great attraction.

Well for me, large collection would be around the 200 mark, so I'd probably set them up in a room all on shelves, grab a chair and grin stupidly for a couple of hours observing the pony goodness, occasionally wandering around and viewing them all close-up.

I figure if the idea of 200 leaves me with that kind of euphoria I don't think I could handle myself with 2000.

Well if I had lots of money I would buy a house just for the ponies...or I would find a way to use the ponies to help build charity money for children's charities.

What would I do with a huge collection?

Well, considering my MLP collection is small compared to my other collections *cough*Transformers*cough*... I would so love to buy myself a house with one huge room to serve as my toy room where all of my toys would be on display and have lots of room to play in!

I'd keep them all! I'd love to own that many ponies. Of course, owning a collection that size right now would be tricky. I wouldn't have enough storage space in the house and they'd like have to go in the storage shed or garage. I hate that some of my G1 MLP merchandise has to be stored out there right now. But it's safe and clean so I guess it could be worse.

My goal would be to have a house with a room big enough to display them all. It would look so awesome!

Well, I would not sell just to sell and then regret it.  As much as you might need the money, you won't really be able to get them all back.  But for storage sake, I have actually looked into renting a unit.  You might be able to get a great deal on one.
