White Windy?

Is the one to the left a white Windy? Her cheekroses are so clear so it can't be just some sort of sunbleaching result...
I don't know. Is there even a white Windy?

She looks pretty white to me. Have you opened her up to see what color she is inside? If she's white all the way through, then yes she is. Her symbol may also have a slight blue tinge to it, but I've seen both blue and purple symbol versions. I have a white Windy with a blue-ish symbol, so I'll try to get a good picture of her to show soon.

There is alot of debate to whether white Windy exists or not, but most people who do believe she exists go by the symbol color. White Windy is supposed to have blue symbols.

Some people believe in her, some don't But I agree with the blue symbols part. It seems to be a 'requirement' for white Windy.

I have faded Windys with both purple and blue symbols so I can't say for sure on that "requirement". :/

I am thinking hmm?? on her existence. I bought one from a trustworthy collector with the Blue Symbols and she was completely white through and through, accept... there was very light lavender very, very light pink on her inside neck part, so I think it could be a fading thing personally, I took photos of her next to my regular Windy when I was camping for comparison thread later    but she is still a beauty in the white color

I used to get so excited on this one but I am with the "hmmmm? really? are you sure?" crowd now - there is so much speculation as to whether she is real and even the ones from collectors who genuinely believe she is the real thing that I see always seem to have a greyish white to them rather than all out white - stand her next to a Majesty or a Magic Hat and compare maybe?

As others would say the blue symbols seems to be a prerequisite if you think she is a genuine White Windy.

Either way both of them look gorgeous - so congratulations!! She could easily have been made white - it suits her wind theme a little better in my opinion!

Did you compare her size with the normal Windy ? I noticed ‘white’ Windy usually tends to be a little bigger than regular girl (just like big symbols Moonstone is a bit bigger than regular one).

My point is this one : I think Windy was never produced white, but always pale lavender, so in some way I don’t believe in genuine white Windy.
BUT :
Almost every ‘white’ Windy known is the version with blue paint under glitter, as is a bit bigger than regular ones (some have purple paint, but other caractistics are the same), and to me, it’s not a coincidence.
I think all the Windy’s we call ‘white’ are in fact members of a same ‘family’, a group of Windy ponies produced at once, or more, but in the same factory, and with the same products.
I think that because they’re so similar in them and so different than the ‘regular’ ones, and so the use of bad pigments for this complete line would explain why they all discolored the same way, so perfectly that they now appear white, making all the serie sort of a ‘delayed factory error’.

And so, thinking this way, yes, I personaly DO believe in white Windy as a factory variant, even if I think they came out of the factory as lavender girls and became white after.

Lilico, yes I think it is that way with "white windys". And yes I noticed she was a bit bigger than the more usual one.
Also, I can see right now without even placeing them next to eachother, that Windy is not as white as for example Majesty. So lilico is probably right with her thoughts about the white Windy.

This is always a very interesting subject 
I had bought a Blue symbol White Windy from a reputable pony member. She had a buzz cut and when I popped her head off, because I wanted to rehair her, she was completely white inside, accept for one part. the inside of her neck seam attached to her head, it was light pinkish, close to the regular Windys color. She was a little taller than my regular Windy too, and her symbols were blue. I took photos of them for comparrisions. So maybe it is a mess up with the paint in manufacturing, because her whole part of that neck piece was pinkish/purple very light, but enough you can see the color difference from the rest of her.

Hasbro know less about the G1 line than we do!!! They are worryingly un-knowledgeable on G1!
