I have also read that ponies get a little weird after 250 degrees.

But looks like there are plenty of people who would love her! I say try your hand at customizing her into something awesome! Best of luck!

I'm so sad but i guess the only thing i CAN do is throw her away... sad day.

there is always someone out there willing to take her off your hands. We have great restorers and customizers out there too. :) Even the most baitest pony deserves a home.

Wow i didn't realize anyone would want her.
I'll try to clean her up and take some more pics and maybe someone can help me get ideas for some kind of artpiece i can make her into.

(I will post in the customs forum).
thanks everyone.

Send her to Dusky!  Send her to me!  She's still totally salvageable =)  For example, if you wanted to re-pose her into a laying down pony, half your work is already done.  Or, you can make a scene where she's in water and her legs are covered.

She's not a total loss.  She's just not going to be what you had originally intended ;)  Listen to the pony and see what she wants to become!

I've had good luck boiling sculpy rather than baking it--sounds crazy but it works! Bring a pot of water to a boil (enough water to dunk the whole pony) and put the pony in. Might need a weight of some kind to make the pony sink so all the sculpy is completely underwater. After 10-15 minutes the sculpy will harden and no putting the pony in the oven required! The heat from the boiling water bakes the sculpy.

I used to do this with leather belts, I would use sculpy to sculpt a fancy buckle on the belt, and obviously couldn't put the leather in the oven to harden the sculpy lol. A pot of water is a good alternative!

I wouldnt give up customizing either.  Mistakes happen even to seasoned artists.  I use sculpey on most of my customs and always boil.  As long as its not to thick it can be boiled.

Actually boiling dose not fully cure it so over the long run it can crumble.  Low and slow is the way to bake clay and pony.

She can still have a great life, she would make a great dragon pony or there have been some other great suggestions on this thread.  We all have to learn some place.

Isn't there someone who collects melted ponies like this?  :what:  Poor pony!  This is why I don't mess with oven bake clay.  Apoxie all the way, if I burn food on a regular basis, I darn sure don't need to be bakin' ponies! :P

Poor pony! Don't feel so bad. I think one big mistake is something every customizer has to go through eventually. It's like a right of passage!

poor pony  :(   I will bet someone will still take her and still make something out of her.  I've never tried baking a pony, but with my luck that probably would have happened to me too
