Pony finds and saves! (pic heavy)

    I was happy to finally get back into pony collecting again and though I have been collecting a few G4 ponies here and there, I haven't rescued any G3 or G1 ponies for several months.  Then one day I decided to visit the toy shop that had moved and there were lots of ponies that need love!

I was SO happy to find Anchors Away!  The whole lot I got for $15.  BBE Cuddles and the two G3 ponies with nail polish were given to me for free to clean up and customize.  I did manage to get the two ponies with nail polish cleaned up and it broke my heart about the one tropical pony.  I love her mane sooo much and I think with a bit of work, I'm going to turn her into yet another mascot for my city's football club, the Seattle Sounders.

Dolls with eyes that close and open like this have always creeped me out and I almost declined getting this pony, even as a gift, but when I thought how cute she might be with a piratey eye-patch and outfit, I decided to adopt her.  I did get her cleaned up and she's beautiful!  I'm undecided if when I finish I will keep her or sell her.
 
The nail polish took lots of work to get off and I'm wondering what exactly it was because I was able to start scraping it off with my fingernail.  I scrubbed them both good with a coarser washrag as well as my nail.  All of it has been removed except for slight little traces of colour, but the bodies themselves are smooth.
 
Oh the little G3 pegasus baby pony looks like her legs have been chewed on by a dog, so I am probably going to make her my baby Autumn Patch, a custom I made last summer.

Thank you everyone!  I actually found a few updated pictures of my castle (which I need to start working on again).  I actually found the castle over at Michaels about a week or so prior to Christmas.  I was looking for a small wood birdhouse to paint (as I was too stressed to work on ponies) and I found this folding castle in the Scratch-n-Dent section for only $5.  It would have been the same price as any of those birdhouses too!

I love taking in ponies to save!  It's a really good feeling when you take the ones that are really sad looking and you're able to clean them up and give them a second life!

And yes!  I was so excited to see Gusty in those boxes and she was only $5!
