Ponies in unexpected places
« on: January 23, 2012, 10:59:00 PM »
In preparation of leaving our house for a couple of weeks while people fix our roof and floors, I have been emptying every nook and cranny in my house.  And while I always assumed I was a very organized collector. . .  apparently, I'm not as organized as I thought.  Either that, or my ponies like to migrate and make new friends without telling me.  :P

Case in point:  I was going through a bag from 2008; it had mementos from a trip to NYC and my college graduation.  And at the very bottom of the bag was. . .  a g3 Golden Delicious.  Then I was going through a box of Beanie Babies and found g1 Snuzzle nestled amongst them.  This is in addition to the Pinkie Pie that was hanging out between the bookshelves yesterday (though I'm pretty certain Pinkies tend to multiply on their own - that's why there's so many of her around.)  :)

I feel like a true pony collector now.  :frolic:

So. . .  have you found any ponies in unexpected or forgotten places?

I found some 3.5s in a Amsterdam Schiphol airport store. XD Can't remember what they were, though; I was really tired.

I've never found ponies in odd places, but one of my best friends found a MOC Chocolate Delight in the trunk of her parents' old car ages ago!  Her parents had presumably forgotten to give it to her as a child, so she got that lovely surprise in high school.

I found a bunch of mcd ponies in our downstairs bathroom cabinet... my daughter set up a scene behind the cabinet doors on a not-so-full shelf... it was full afterwards.

I found a pile of G1 accessories plus Spike and a glowworm in a garbage bag in the attic space of my parent's garage last summer. Apparently it was from one of those times my mother had gotten mad at us for having a huge mess in our playroom, and she'd just packed a bunch of toys up.

haha these are all great!
I don't have an odd spot for a pony to be, but I did find one of the MLP:FiM animal friends, one of the little mice, in my snuggie on my computer chair. I didn't know he was in there til I went to sit down, shook out my snuggie to put it on and a little mouse rolled out! hehe

I have found a couple of G3s (I have the holiday ones around as decorations) in odd places. I think it's my cat. He likes to lick their hair, and I tend to find them in his hiding spots, like the clothes basket.

When i dough up the ponies from my basement....they where there like a year or 7/8...i had them out in my boyfriends house and when he moved in with me they where put in the basement.
And when i come to the point i want to collect again i dug up a bag and a box with them and then i thought i know for sure i had more...
And the digging begin again...and again...
At the end out of every corner of our basement ponies showed up!
