mlp4me i totaly agree.
i useally sunfade creamy/ of white ponies and they come up a treat and i was trying to do my starshine for months and i realised it was a form of cancer and it was all over her body, after my many many years of collecting iv noticed it comes down to the vinyl and unforunitly i think gingerbread might not.
there are different forms of white as i had one squeshy brown starshine and one hard pure white that is so easy to sunfade.
it would be good to see photos of her

Here she is after her bath. She looks whiter in the pictures than she is.

I have sunfaded a quackers before wih greAt success! I also have a baity gingerbread... Tell you what, I will sunfade my gingerbread to see if she sunburns :)

also, I have had a couple that didn't respond well to sunfading: dibbles/scribbles (the one with pink hair) and Brazilian ponies. It just seems to have no effect at all

I've had great luck with hydrogen peroxide soaks.  They seem to do the same thing as sunfading but take less time.  It doesn't work on everything though.  It doesn't seem to work well with "creamy" white ponies and regular sunfading is better to remove specific marks like pen.  Here's some info:

@Relcelestia: How did you manage to perfectly cover Sugarberry's symbol..? It seems so... Complicated. I had trouble just covering german Starshine because I didn't want to cover more than needed, but THAT symbol is... Somethin'.

Oh wow, FarDreamer! Those results are wonderful. Too bad I can't manage to get my hands on that much peroxide right now. Guess I'm stuck sunfading, even though every other day is cloudy lately.  :(

Ohhh, I see! That's what I did with Starshine, so I hope she comes out wonderful. She's in absolutely direct sunlight all day today and yesterday, so let's hope for a tiny bit of progress. If not much happens after a few weeks, I guess I could send her to you.  :good:

Hmm...how long does it usually take to notice a difference? Is she similar in coloring to the picture I posted of mine? Good to hear there is no burning yet! Do you know how long it usually takes them to burn?

that is amazing!

I just recently worked up the guts to flat iron some of my ponies.  I saw your before and after on your argies and was encouraged :)  they came out so nice!
i loooove sunfading!!!! only hard part is PATIENCE!!
i sunfade pretty much every white pony i buy because they can ALWAYS be whiter!!
and now i loooove flat ironing too!! ^_^

one more tip: do NOT put tape on glitter symbols! it will remove the glitter when you take off the tape. What I do is flip the tape over to the non-sticky side and tape over it. so basically you have 2 layers of tape, but the sticky part never touches the glitter
(hopefully that makes sence)

BTW if anypony lives in a gloomy area SEND ME YOUR PONIES!!
Ill sunfade them for you ^_^

heres my biggest sunfading sucess story...

Flitter, be really careful with Starshine! She will usually burn! I don't know why, but from my own experience and from what I've read from others, she often does not fade but darken.

Relcelestia i may be sending my quackers your way! Shes got pen marks all over and im just not sure i would be successful at sunfading. I live in iowa so there may be enough sun but i dont have a good spot to put her.
