Trying to remember the name of an 80s UK magazine
« on: January 23, 2012, 01:15:24 PM »
As a little girl, once a fortnight/month [I honestly cant remember which] I went to my little local newsagents with my mum and collected my favourite magazine of the moment....it was a Disney magazine and it came with a cassette on the front and contained lots of different stories, each of which was read out on the cassette. My favourite part was that every fortnight/month had a new Winnie The Pooh story read by Richard Briers [he of the Good Life and Monarch of the Glen fame].

I am having one of those reminiscing moments but for the life of me I cant remember anything else about this magazine, or even the name of it...is there anyone out there who remembers this as well and if they do what the magazine was called?
Thank you Matcha for my gorgeous Baby Fifi avi

I thought this might be the Story Teller series that I remember having during my childhood but having looked it up it has nothing to do with Disney (though Richard Briers was one of the readers).

However!

At the bottom of the wiki page it mentions a Disney version called Storytime, a 24 issue partwork; I can't find any other info on it though, but it sounds possible...

Hope you find it.
I was more into 'The Beano', 'Beeb', (Brilliant BBC children's magazine in the "Saturday Superstore' era that only lasted a few months!)  then 'Fast Forward' magazine! Sorry!
