« on: January 22, 2012, 12:27:43 AM »

Oookay so I opened up my new Royal Castle Friends set and immediately noticed that Celestia has one really short row of hair.

That is weird. Not sure if it's normal, but, actually, I'm talking to someone who has a brushable Celestia, let me ask them! Confirmed, his has it, too!

I know that Talking Celestia's hair goes from three rows of hair plugs, to two rows about a third down her mane, then back to three rows of plugs for the last third of her mane. I guess they're doing weird things with Celestias mane? Maybe that want want you to use the anomalous third row of hair as bangs on one side? No idea!

Wow that looks really odd - I wonder why they thought it was a good idea?

My kids part that off and use it as a long forelock that hangs in her eyes... they think it looks more like the cartoon that way. ;)

That's strange! Maybe it's to make her hair look thick without having to use so much hair (cost saving)?

I suspect that's it.

I was going to say that too. Still looks odd, mind.

Okay, well I'm glad to know that its normal. The third row does look like its to be used as her bangs, especially since its further away from the rest of her hair.

Hmm... that does look a bit odd. I can understand the reasoning behind it, but I'm not sure I agree with the style choice.

That's odd! I never noticed until I read this thread, but just checked my brushable Celestia.
Well, at least she pulls it off.

My understanding is that the hair itself is the same length as the rest, it's just that row of plugs don't run down the length of the neck like the others. The original poster, karonkun, put up a good picture of it.
