My wife got me into them - ponies and doll collecting both.  And now she even has a transformer.  These diseases spread as is their nature.

My fiance is completely fine with it, he doesn't like them, he even has a cruel nickname for Princess Sparkle (alothough it does suit her), but he takes me pony hunting every weekend, helps me out with my customs, put shelving up for them, he even paid for it. O_O Oh and he helps me find the G4's. I am very lucky.

Mine used to cringe at them, but he's gotten better.  When I was searching for Fluttershy a while back (I just could NOT find her singles pack!) I ranted a little in a Walmart to him.  Complained that I just could NOT find the yellow peg with pink hair!    Then a month or so later, he ran to the store to grab some things for our apartment (a new shower rod, drillbits, etc) and came back with Fluttershy.  He was so proud of himself!

zennabug that is awsome mine looks out for them but just wants to see them melted or chopped up but knows i love them so he doesnt do it but he will never be suck in to it he laughs at me some times

My BF thinks I'm adorably crazy. :p He seems really interested in customs though, and was impressed with some of the really intricate ones I've shown him.

Mine is the same. He says I'm weird but that's what he loves about me, lol. And he does support my hobby, customizing especially I think, not that sure about collecting. Plus, he watches FiM with me and is actually very excited about the series, although I haven't heard him describing himself as a brony yet. He even has a persona (that predates FiM), I was very surprised when I said I wanted to make him one and he accepted.

yeah, that's my view and situation, too I've always been into toy collecting, long before I met my boyfriend. It's been over 5 years now, and I have yet to hear any complaints at all about my toy hoard <3 In fact, I'M the one who occasionally remarks that my toy collecting habits are a bit nuts LOL But, like Juri said- as long as you're doing what it is that makes you smile I'm glad your partner is being as supportive as possible, Butterfly Gypsie Rose. It's so sweet that he's building shelves for you! It sounds like he'll warm up to your new interest in no time at all <3

My husband is... extremely tolerant. He collected action figures and movie... models, I guess... before I was into ponies, so I think it was a bit of a relief- he didn't have to feel bad for spending money on toys anymore. He doesn't really get the appeal of ponies, and he just kind of nods politely when I talk about them, but if I'm stuck on picking hair colours for a custom, he's always very helpful. But yeah, he probably thinks I'm a bit weird!

My BF and I are both toy nuts.  He's into action figures (Transformers, GI Joes, UFC, etc), and we're both into Legos.  We go to Toys R Us or other toy stores 2-4 times a month just to browse (and or buy).


I also collect reptile LPS, and he'll ask me if I have this or that one yet when he spots them.


We make fun of each other, but we both have obsessive personalities.
