G4 Projector Flashlight

I got one at Walmart today for $5 and OHMYGOSH was it ever a total piece of junk! The sliding on/off switch is so huge that you accidentally turn it off all the time. The ring that holds the slides came unglued and fell off in my hand the second I took it out of the package. You have to access the battery compartment by removing a teeeny tiny screw and then also unscrewing the whole thing. This flimsy piece of metal makes up the electrical contacts and if it's not just perfect and you're not holding your breath just right, it doesn't light.


My girls and I played with ours for maybe 10 minutes with two fresh C-cell batteries and then it went out, never to come back on again.


Fun idea, REALLY crappy execution. C'mon, Hasbro... find better manufacturers before slapping the MLP logo on stuff!

*Sigh* when something is popular like FiIM - the cr*p that anyone will put the logo on is simply bizarre. You would like to think HB would look more closely at their licensing...but at the end of the day money will win out and lets face it the factory quality of a lot of their own items are hardly amazing!

Sorry it was such a disappointment - it does look super cute though.

We have a very similar thing, but it's "Dora the Explorer" not MLP, probably made in the same factory, as it too is a piece of junk

Hmmm... I saw several of those at the Salvation Army in the section where they buy out stuff from Target and Walmart. They looked like store returns 'cause the packages were all taped up, now I know why!

Don't have the MLP one, but Spiderman - and yes  same thing, it's a piece of junk.

Thing is, it's not Hasbroken's doing. They licensed MLP out to a company- I believe this is the work of the company that makes the bubble bellies and other merch.

It applies to many popular franchises, I guess. In the end it's all about money and the rights holder won't even care if the end product the licensee churns out is tat.

yet anouther hunk of hasbro junk:(  It is so sad to see how much there quality has fallen in such a short time:(  the difference between the old and the new is like night and day!

I'm glad I didn't buy it, then! It seems like such a cute idea, but it's disappointing that it's such terrible quality.

That's a shame I really wanted to order one of those, but it looks like its not worth it.
