De-glitter?
« on: January 17, 2012, 07:51:07 PM »
I finally got my hands on a blind bag glitter Rainbow Dash, but the problem is I never realized the glitter was on the outside of the blind bag ponies; I always thought that the glitter/sparkly stuff was mixed in to the plastic so that the figure was smooth. So I was wondering, has anyone tried to take the glitter off of one of these things yet? I'm affraid acetone will be too harsh, but I don't know what else would maybe work well. The last thing I tried to de-glitter failed DX I want to customize the Dash, but keep that nice transparent blue that she's made out of.

I have no idea what would work, acetone may be fine, but it could eat the plastic too, there is no real way to know until the damage is done unfrtunately :/

Thats what I was affraid of, lol. The plastic feels soft to start with so I hate to think that I would ruin a perfectly good blind bag pony but I guess in the name of science I'll have to give it a try, lol.
