Your Favourite Episode

What's your favourite episode of My Little Pony? It can be from either the newest series (MLP: FiM) or one of the older series.


I haven't seen any of the older episodes (when I was little, I was a total tomboy, so I refuse to even give anything girly like My Little Pony a chance - Funny how I'm a collector now!), but I'm a big fan of Friendship is Magic.


My favourite episode would have to be Suited for Success. I loved the metaphor for executive meddling in that episode, and Rarity is one of my favourite characters. My second fave would have to be Lesson Zero. I know a bunch of people hate it but I thought it was just hilarious!

I love "the magic coins" from G1. I used to watch it over and over when I was a child.

It's hard to pick an old episode, since I wasn't terribly familiar with them as a kid (we didn't get whatever channel they aired on).  But I absolutely love the MLP movie with smooze and Grundles!  It's the only pony movie I had on VHS (from the thrift store, like most of my ponies).

Of the FiM episodes, my favorite has been Bridle Gossip.  But this week's episode was so cute that I think Baby Cakes is a tie for favorite!

This difficult. I'll choose a few from each gen.

G1 original: I like Rescue From Midnight Castle and Escape From Catrina. I also liked Would Be Dragonslayer quite a bit (love the movie, too!)
Tales: Battle of the Bands, mainly for the song!
Earlier G3: This is more of a movie, but Runaway Rainbow isn't half bad.
G3 Core 7: Star Song's party (the only G3 style Core 7 I can even tolerate).
G3.5: Twinkle Wish Adventure and possible Waiting For the Winter Wishes Festival. They have plots, and are related to each other, so I'll put them both here.
G4/FiM: Party of One, Return of Harmony, Lesson Zero, Best Night Ever, Baby Cakes, Suited for Success, and Sonic Rainboom.

Wow. That was harder than I thought it would be....

G1 episodes, I'd have to say Sonambula if only because it introduces us to the Big Brother ponies.  I'm also quite fond of the Magic Coins episode (though I always giggle when Megan's solution to the drought is to sing.  Because *that* isn't going to make everyone more tired and thirsty. )

FiM episodes I'm fond of are Winter Wrap-up and Suited for Success, probably mainly because of the awesome songs.

I need to sit down and watch some G1 episodes, I've been wanting to do that for ever.

I like a lot of FIM ones, but Winter Wrap-Up comes to mind, I love the whole idea!

Well my favourite episode from any MLP series would have to be "Bon Bon's Diary", from MLP Tales.  I'm such a Bon Bon fan!!  Plus, I have to say, I thought Teddy was really sweet at the end of the episode

I love "Mish Mash Melee" from 1986, where all the ponies get hit by little blobs that reverses their personalities =)

Not a fan of either the Tales series or FiM ^_^;

Growing up, I remember watching Escape from Katrina and Rescue at Midnight Castle (although I also have fond memories of the MLP movie).

I haven't watched any of the in-between series, but I love FiM.  My very favorite episode is Return of Harmony, although I also really like Luna Eclipsed, the pilot episodes, and so many others.  I feel like I need to rewatch them all again to remember which are my favorites!

From G1 it's Rescue At Midnight Castle. I love the plot and the art is really pretty! From the actual series, I really like the Tambelon episodes and baby It's Cold Outside. It's been too long since I saw Tales to recall any specific episodes :/


For FiM, A Dog and Pony Show, hands down. The basic plot really seems like something that would have happened in G1. I wish FiM had more episodes that were adventure oriented, it's what I love best about the G1 series.

I love, love, love Rescue at Midnight Castle.  From the G1 TV series, I really enjoy Somnambula.

From FiM, I totally love Winter-Wrap Up and The Best Night Ever.

Unfortunately, I have no experience with G1 whatsoever! One day I'm going to watch Rescue at the Midnight Castle or something, though. ^^

With MLP:FiM, I'm particularly fond of Winter Wrap-Up, Suited for Success, the Return of Harmony parts 1 and 2, and some others... xD
