The Question of baits

I have an idea for a custom I want to do I have nearly everything I need except for a certain bait. I need a G1 friefly pose bait now here is my question

I know somewhere that I can get the perfect exact bait I need but I need it wait a week before I can get it and chances are it might not still be there. I have a Sunday best ( Pepermint crunch I think?) that is in the pose I need but I'd have to sand her molded symbol down and she's not really bait in as far as I'm concerned just has some tail rust and a cut along her neck line some clay and glue after she had her tail rust fixed and she's good as new.

So what do I do wait for the perfect bait? or use a not really all that baity pony that I have now?
