After a ton of work by the fantasticly generous Mr. Cherry (aka Mattman), we are up and running again!  I don't know about you all, but it was a loooooong wait!  I am so ridiculously happy to have our new server and even more happy to have all my pony friends back!  To show you all how much I missed you, I would like to host an art contest!!!  Draw a picture to show everyone how much you missed the Arena!

PM your entries to me and I will keep them in a special "Art Contest" folder
(don't you love that we can organize our PMs?!  Check it out!)

Contest ends February 29^th

Okay, I have one complaint: The image insert button now makes the image appear in the editor, which is annoying.

Hooray!  I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!  I will wait for more people to make their way over before I set a deadline, but probably by the end of February    That way everyone has time to see the contest and to draw something up!

You mean when you click "modify" and the images show up in the box instead of just the text?  I actually love that feature    It will make it way easier to find the image you're looking for if there are multiple ones.    Just another new thing that will take some getting used to.

ah zelda, if you TYPE "[i mg]http://... ...[/i mg]" (without spaces) instead of clicking the "insert image" button, it doesn't appear in the editor. at least for me that works. however, i kinda like the new function too!

Hmm, I keep noticing everyone commenting on the "new" pony smilies... did the Arena remove them at some point, because they aren't new to me?   I remember when they came out originally.   I was away for a while, because of the loading issues (and waning interest), so I wouldn't know if they disappeared at all.

No, but we've added some new ones that we haven't had before (at least not in quite a while)

You are right. Some of the "new" emoticons are actually old ones that were eventually eliminated. But I got to play with the smileys myself and add 'em. AND BOY THAT WAS FUN!!!!
