I heard back from Hasbro. I have the choice of returning the figure for a full refund by using a prepaid mailing label (that they will send me), or I can keep the damaged pony and get 10% of my total order back (I ordered about $100 worth of stuff, so $10). I'm kind of annoyed that I have to go to the trouble of sending back the pony (why should I have to do legwork for their mistake?), but at least I'll be getting a refund.
If they are sending a prepaid shipping label to you, all you have to do is throw the pony back in the box it came in, sit it on your porch, and schedule a pick up online with UPS or USPS. It's not unusual for a company to have you return a higher value item (at their expense) in order to get a full refund.
Glad to hear that they offered you 2 choices to resolve this.
