A friend of mine brought me a thrift store bag of ponies yesterday, with a Flutter pony called Lily. She's discoloured, has potential pony cancer (I think), and she came to me with a braided tail that led to frizz at the end of her tail. Anything I can do to fix it?

Your lily doesn't have cancer, what she has is regrind which nothing can be done about unless you dye the entire body, my big brother pony has it too, it is when Hasbro used recycled plastic which is now ageing and creating these 'pink spots' hope this helps for research! x

I have a Pinwheel with these pink spots too and i was also in doubt if it was cancer or not.
Glad to hear it's not!

My Starry Wings has regrind on her mouth...it looks like she is wearing lipstick:)
Lily's hair can be improved with conditioner or fabric softener (my personal favorite). I let their hair soak for a few hours, then I use a flat iron on a low setting and run it over the hair. I've also had really great results with using a wire cat hair brush to get out frizz. Not all of it comes out for me, but it helps!
BTW, over in the Classified section under wingers and flutters are some really gorgeous replacement wings for sale made by PrettyKittyWinks. Good luck and be sure to post before/after pictures of her in the running thread! Nothing warms the heart like pony makeovers.

This link is very useful: www.mlparena.com/Forum...14682.html

It explains exactly what all the different pony problems are with clear images, it's really good Smile x

Update: hit Lily with a magic clean eraser, sunfading and a hair conditioner soak. She looks great.

Just need to save up for a pair of replacement wings now. Smile

Yeah - she looks good well done!

Regrind is a break down in plastic and in theory over time all of the plastic will degrade...this means Lily should - one day - be the same lovely pink all over...however this can take years of course.

Either way she is lovely!
