PostPosted: 0    Post subject: Restoring my childhood pony - picture heavy

My Seashell was part of my first four ponies, and so, has quite a special place in my heart. And as most Seashell's are prone to do, she had lost her tail countless times and finally, was lost forever. She got grubby, too, sitting in the drawer of my dresser for some years, and beyond. For the past couple months, she's been sitting out in the open looking at me with those eyes, waiting for some love. In Love

See how dirty she is?

I saw several techniques described while using the search function last night, but it is this one I wound up trying.

www.mlparena.com/Forum...html#19782

"Take the paint color for the blush you want to use, get two 1-tips, dip one in water, then mix it with the paint so it is really thin, the apply, then take the dry one to blend..."

It worked pretty well. Smile

She looks amazing, you did a wonderful job! And it's nice to see what Seashell looks like with blush. I don't think she or Bubbles originally came with blush, but I can't be sure.

A tearfully heart-warming story about a girl and her pony. I think I might cry - lol!

You did a splendid job of fixing her up.

She looks great. Super job restoring her. Makes me want to drive to my Dad's house and go up in the attic and find my old MLPs and start cleaning them up right now.

Wow you did a great job, and such a cute story too! A labour of love ... and how could you resist? Bubbles is adorable.
