Thought these would be handy for others, they have helped me out...almost weekly I end up with yet another Barbie from the charity shop and it's hard to know what year/era it's from just by the face. *I have now added some useful links to id Sindy dolls too*

eta 12/22: This is a brilliant site for Hasbro and Pedigree Sindys!
sindyzhome.piczo.com/?g=1&cr=7

ETA 26/9: A site that has lots of pictures of barbies, 80s, 90s and 2000s, as well as silkstone, holiday, anniversary, dolls of the world... it doesnt have every doll but it's still a great site!

adelesbarbies.tripod.com/id7.html

ETA 9/10 Spotlight and info on Barbie Fairytopia and Mermaidai dolls:

toys.about.com/od/barb...ia2005.htm

ETA 7/5 I found this Flickr group called '1990s Barbie Dolls' it has over 500 pics of 90s Barbies!!

www.flickr.com/groups/1067380@N23/

eta 23/6: www.barbiecollector.co...fault.aspx
^^ There is a 'showcase' section that shows many many many dolls from 80s til now. Great site.

eta new link 5/24: Debbies picasa album has every Sindy outfit from 60's til 85', named and pictured: Brilliant for iding Sindy clothes. The best 60s, 70s & 80s Sindy outfit id resource on the net IMO:

picasaweb.google.com/dazedbydolls

Hasbro Sindy ( I think this site lists every single one, with pics and descriptions too)

www.club-sindy.com/index_hasbro.htm

Vintage & Pedigree Sindy ( 1960s til 1986) also vintage Barbie, petra etc:

www.petradolls.co.uk/index.htm

This one tells you what era/year your Barbie is from, depending on where it was made ( China, Phillipines, Malaysia etc):

www.dollreference.com/...marks.html

Some pics and MIB pics of some 80s Barbies:

barbievjem.blogspot.com/

This one shows the pics and names of the different facemolds:

www.kattisdolls.net/facemold.htm

also if you look around the site, it has names of the different body molds too.

eta: this one has all pics, dates and info on all the Barbie 'Fashion Avenue' outfits from 1995-2004 Smile

home.comcast.net/~fashionave/

ID your vintage Barbie ( 1959-1972) here!:

www.fashion-doll-guide...ation.html

Hope these are of some help to the Barbie collectors Smile

Do you know of any good sites for IDing Barbies from the 90s and 00s? I have been trying to find a good one to see what Barbies I have from my childhood. Thanks!

try this one:

www.barbiecollector.co...fault.aspx

You have to go onto 'Showcase' and then you can choose from vintage or modern dolls, then on the left menu it says 'Year of release' click on that and then you can click on what year you are looking for....hope this site helps you out! Flirty Pony

ok unfortunately I cannot for the life of me find a site that IDs 90s Barbies, the regular ones. I think the problem is that there were so many...maybe it's too hard to ID them all? awake

What I did find however is a great Flickr group called '1990s Barbies' with over 500 pictures of 90s Barbies. Chances are you could find what you are looking for on there Smile

www.flickr.com/groups/1067380@N23/

Hope that's of some help!

www.picturetrail.com/s...w/11720283

pmcollectibles.homeste...line1.html

www.angelfire.com/art/...dolls.html

What about the Fairytopia and Barbie Movie ones? I always leaned towards the more "fairy tale-ish" ones than the more "realistic" ones

toys.about.com/od/barb...ia2005.htm
