Before, right, I was sitting on the floor of the library reading, which I still do upon occasion. These 2 girls kept sitting near me and saying stuff like "Alex ------- loves Kieren" and more -uh, sexual- things and giggling brainlessly. I ignored them, because if they're so immature as to find that enjoyable why should I care?

But then they kept wetting me with their waterbottle and running off, they soaked the page I was reading about 3 times (which annoyed me more than getting wet myself) and then they came and sat near me again and made comments. Then they wet me, and because I was quite irritated I pelted my book at their heads and then picked it up and found my page and began reading it again. They were quite astonished, for generally I am quite a mild person, and they went away and didn't bother me again. Honestly, some people are quite immature. I shouldn't have thrown my book at them, but then I have an image of being eccentric anyway and every now and then I just have to go and do something inexplicable or unusual to maintain it.

What they were doing was inexcusable. You did overreact, but I think you had a valid reason. Making fun of people in the way they did to you is harassment. If they do it again, make sure to tell someone. Little stuff like that can lead up to bigger things later.

*ah, the memories of high school*

Those people are a nuisance. They prolly thought since you are a mild person, you wouldn't have done anything if they teased you. Bad strategy, huh? Laugh The best way to chase off bullies or harrassing people is by shock. I would prefer verbal action above physic, but it's still great you stood up for yourself like that. Wink

Honestly PCBabySunribbon I don't think you did overeact. Seriously, it only take a couple of times doing that and that kind of stuff stops happening. Hate to say violence is any kind of answer but you obviously didn't have any kind of respect from them and they wouldn't have stopped anyways, you were the target of the day.
If the water bottle wasn't in the story then yeah you would have been overeacting but they were squirting you?! What kind of crap is that? Mad I would have throw a chair at them but that's just me.
I had a problem in elementary school with kids picking on me, my mother finally told me to stand up for myself. So I racked the school bully in the nuts by the big oak tree at recess and I never got picked on by anyone else. Look Round In fact weirdly enough I was very popular in middle school and well known in high school.
I know that wouldn't work out like that for everyone and violence may not be the key but I don't know how else you would have dealt with them. You didn't want to feed them and start complaining. You didn't want to be a tattle tail and tell someone, and you surely didn't want to leave... what other remedy to the problem was there?
Good going! :-D
