Who was your first pony, ever? How did you get it?

My first pony ever was G1 Bubbles. I got her on Christmas Day 1990. I was not even a year old yet. I don't know how or where my mom got her to give me as a Christmas present but it's really strange. I only know I had Bubbles because she is in a picture with me that my mom took on that Christmas Day! I didn't even know she was my first pony ever until my mom showed me the picture. Hah. It's crazy! I don't know what ever happened to my Bubbles though. D:

What generation(s) do you primarily collect? I collect all three! :]

Who is your favorite pony and why? My favorite pony is Hip Holly. I think she is so cool looking and very unique! I like how she's see thru and she's the only G2 that looks like that! I love her colors and her green eyes. I think she's crazy looking like me! That's why I like her. :]

Who is your favorite "Nirvana?" If G2s count (which I don't think they do lol) I like a lot of the G2s we could never get here in the US, like the Princesses and the castle and the mansion! XD; If Tutti Frutti counts as a Nirvana, I like her too. I have her!

Who is your least favorite pony and why? Baby Frosting is my least favorite because I don't like BBE ponies and I don't like her color. :[

What's the one question about ponies or pony stuff that you've always been too embarrassed to ask? How do you figure out shipping costs when you want to start selling ponies?

What are your thoughts on.....
- G1s? Love them! They are fun to collect and it's always fun to find a really nice condition one. :]
- G2s? I grew up having G2s so they are love. :] I like how they are from the 90's, like me! I love their little crystal eyes too!
- G3s? G3s are awesome! I love the ones with glitter on them and the ones that have tinsel in their hair!

What would you like to see offered next in the G3 line? Boys of course and sea ponies! Twinkle - Eyed G3s would rule and some new borns would be cute! :]

How do your family and friends feel about your pony habit...or are you still in the collecting closet? My family thinks I'm crazy anyhow! Haha. My mom doesn't like when I spend any money on any toys whether they be ponies or not. However, she does help me find ponies at the dump and at yard sales. My friends think it's cute and my boyfriend buys me ponies and even has a small collection himself. Chief is his favorite! :]

Do you ever see yourself *not* collecting anymore? What do you think would make you stop? I'm not sure. I love collecting toys and I think I always will so I will probably never stop collecting ponies for good. However, I think that if I ever find myself with TOO many I would have to sell a bunch but I think I would still collect for sure.

MOC G1s Preserve them or let them free? Preserve them! Although it would be fun to open...haha!

Tell the truth! Do you ever still play with your ponies? I wish I could but I never really have the time. I would love to make a story with them. I want to someday and I love taking pictures of them!

Are you a customizer? If not, would you ever? No. I have tried but I don't think I have the time or the patient to ever take it on seriously.

What are your thoughts on custom ponies? I don't collect them but I might get a special one someday. If I ever seen one I'd really love and have the money for than I'll probably get one!

What rare/popular pony just makes you ask...WHY? Lemon Drop and Peachy. I don't like them but I know lots of others do. They look the same to me! XD;

YOUR COLLECTION
What got you started collecting as an adult? The fact I've loved toys my entire life and I've never stopped playing with them. However, last Christmas my aunt bought me Rarity and G3 Mittens (the second one) and getting them made me want to get some more! Plus, I already had a few G1s.

About how many ponies are in your herd right now? Over 100.
- Total? Let me see...not counting any Ponyvilles or plush or doubles -- I have 126 ponies.
- From each generation? I have 49 G1s, 16 G2s, and 61 G3s. Not counting doubles of a few.

What is your ultimate collecting goal? I don't really have a goal but of course there are a bunch of ponies I wish to own someday.

What's your biggest collecting accomplishment to date? Going to MLP Fair 2008 and buying lots and lots of ponies! Hah. Plus I even won a few, which was awesome!

What's your biggest collecting regret? I don't have one yet, in my collecting pursuits of ponies.

What's the one pony that just seems to elude you? None!

What is your favorite pony pose and why? I love the G3 "diva" pose. (Crystal Crown has it). I just think it's such a cute and unique pose. No G1 could have that pose and be able to pull it off. XD;

Who is your grail pony and why? Do you have it yet? I would love to own Rapunzel one day. And Mimic. No, I don't have them.

Do you collect mostly MIP or loose ponies? Why do you prefer that? Mostly loose. I think they look better on display, plus you can do photography with them. I only own four MIP ponies.

In your opinion, what are some acceptable and unacceptable flaws in ponies? Acceptable - a few marks here and there. Unacceptable - nasty hair but with some of mine it can't be avoided. I don't have any real patience to wash them nice. :X

Do you collect foreigns or variants? If so, what draws you to them? I only collect foreign G2s. I love them, they are so cool! For varients I thought it would be cool to collect Toola - Roola varients and I have several Sunny Daze varients. I'm not really "drawn" to me them persay but it's kinda cool to have a few of the same pony - but different!

Who's the one pony you'd never, ever get rid of and why? Hip Holly because she's my favorite! She's very special to me.

Quick! Close your eyes and grab a pony. Who is it and how did you get it? G3 Petal Blossom! I bought her from the 2008 MLP Fair. I bought her from Elvenwine, who I actually bought several G3s from and even played a board game with her! It was super fun! Haha.


BACK IN THE DAY...

Did you have ponies as a kid? If so, how many? As a kid, I had G2s. I only had a few (Petal Blossom, Sweet Berry, Satin Splash, and Ivy) but my step-mother used to buy them for me and my sister (my sister had Light Heart and Sun Sparkle I remember). I think we had a few others but I don't really remember which ones. My cousins had a couple too. When I was a little older (like around 12) I got a couple G1s from yard sales. I had North Star, Speedy, Wave Dancer, and Quackers but I didn't know their names so I made them up!

Did you improve them by giving them haircuts, painting them with glitter polish, or anything else fun? Nope, my sister and I have always been totally against doing that to our toys because our cousins would do it to theirs and make them look bad! Hah.

Who were the stars of your childhood herd? I loved Satin Splash the most because she was pretty and had a cool waterfall! And I loved Speedy the most out of my G1s. Probably because she's a unicorn and has pretty eyes!

Who were the bad guys? No one!

Did you watch the TV show? What was your favorite episode and why? I only watched My Little Pony Tales as a kid. I don't remember any of the episodes but I enjoy watching them now on You Tube.

What's your very first pony memory? I remember sitting in front of the TV watching My Little Pony Tales and brushing a fakie's hair! HAH. That was before I had real ponies and wayyyy after I had Bubbles (as a baby haha).

What pony were you dying to have as a kid but your mom never bought it for you? Do you have it now? None.

Did you have any rare ponies as a kid? Who? No.

What's a fun or funny memory you have about ponies from when you were little? Making up names for my G1s because I didn't know them. Speedy was Rolley and Quackers was Rainy Day. Hah.

What do you like to do for fun? I love to shop, hang out with people, draw, color, watch TV, watch movies, surf the net, and of course, play with toys!

Do you have any other hobbies? Please share! I collect other toys besides ponies. I collect Bratz, vintage Littlest Pet Shops (I had those the most when I was a kid), Care Bears (mostly vintage), and anything Hello Kitty. I also enjoy photography and art.

What's your most embarrassing moment? I really don't want to share. Sorry! lol.

Got kids? Not yet. Maybe in ten more years! :B

What three places are you dying to see? Amsterdam, Germany, and Japan.

I would like other collectors to think of me as....... Someone cool and someone who shares their love of toys!

I really wish that Hasbro would...... Make G3s boys! Hah.

My best eBay deal was..... Oh my gosh, I won Raincurl (like mint condition too) for like seven dollars plus shipping! I was so proud of myself.

My best thriftstore/fleamarket/garage sale find was.... I found like five G3s and I bought them for 3$!

I think that the most underappreciated pony is...... Baby Tic Tac Toe!
because...... She's so pretty and yellow and has rainbow like hair and a cute little first tooth! :B

What sets me apart as a collector is.... I don't care how many ponies or I have or that I ever have them all. I just collect the ones I like the most.
